Clavell was in for a rude awakening on Saturday afternoon, as he took to the pitch for his first Premier League match since suffering a knee injury during the 1-0 win over West Brom on December 15.
Clavellan’s left knee suffered a setback during Saturday’s match at Old Trafford, forcing the former Derby County and Manchester City striker to sit out the first half.
It is expected that Clavellan will miss a significant period of time.
He is currently recovering from the surgery to repair the torn meniscus in his left knee, which is the result of the ligament tearing during the 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace on November 29.
Injuries are common in football and are expected to continue for Clavella for the foreseeable future.
There will also be a lot of expectation placed on Clavello, who has made the club a club he has been linked to for some time.
