The Wilburies have been in business since the late 1980s and were the first coffee shop chain in the US to launch in the country.
They now have 10 outlets in the state of California, including their latest, in Moab.
There is a lot of excitement around the chain and its latest acquisition, the Moab coffee shop.
It is the latest addition to a growing trend of coffee chains popping up in the Midwest and across the US, following the introduction of chain restaurants and cafes, as well as the rise of artisanal coffee roasters.
“It’s a great opportunity for the chain to expand into the Midwest,” said David Smith, vice president of business development at Wilbur.
Smith said that the chain had been interested in the Moobas location since the 1980s.
“It was really a local location for us and we’re very happy that we’re able to bring that to our customer base,” he said.
The chain’s expansion plans have been a long time coming.
According to a story published by the Moar Company blog in May 2018, “The Moab location opened in 1977 and we have been operating at that location ever since,” said Smith.
Wilbur is expected to close the Moobs in 2019.
For now, they have been open to the public since September 2018.
